With consistent scoring in both rounds, Parrini carded five total birdies and 24 total pars for his tournament. The York native had familiarity with the course and took advantage of his course knowledge to finish five shots ahead of his competition. The Major Championship title is the first for Parrini after his graduation from the Boys 14 & Under Division. In second was Gus Minkin of York, Pa., with a tournament total 152 and rounding out the top three was Teddy Zinser of Alexandria, Va., finishing with a total 154. Zinser’s round-two score of even-par 72 earned him the Clazic Belts Low Final Round Award, the award presented to the male and female player with the lowest final-round score.
n the Boys 14 & Under Division, Jack Halleron of Timonium, Md., was victorious. After posting a round-one score of 78 and sitting in second behind then leader, MJ Bricker of York, Pa., Halleron used nine-hole par-or-better streak to ignite his comeback effort for the win. Halleron’s performance was highlighted by five total birdies. Sharing second was Bricker and Evan Greenplate of York, Pa. The duo both posted tournament totals of 154.

Julianne Lee of York, Pa., and Charlotte Simpson of Towson, Md., finished tied with tournament scores of 156. The playoff started on hole No. 16 at Hershey Country Club, where Lee and Simpson tied with bogeys. On the second playoff hole, Lee was able to get up and down for par to secure the victory, the first of her IJGT career. Lee started the final round only one stroke back of Simpson after an opening round of 78. Lee put some pressure on Simpson early making two birdies in her front nine. At the turn Lee and Simpson were tied. Simpson grabbed control of the lead with a birdie on hole No. 14, but Lee was resilient and stayed calm making a par on her last hole to send it to the playoff. The greens at Hershey Country Club were rolling very fast and troubled many of the competitors including Lee.“My putting was not very good this week, but my iron play and driver made up for it,” said Lee.
